Understanding the Buyer’s Premium

The buyer’s premium is a contribution of 10% added to the winning bid for each item sold in the live auction. For example, when your winning bid is $100 for an item, your receipt will be for $100 plus 10% or $110 total. The buyer’s premium is common in the auction world since instituted by Christie’s auction house in 1975, and is an ideal option for benefit auctions.

About Us

Dragon Scholarship Fund is a non-profit organization of community volunteers who raise funds to assist graduating seniors pursue their dreams!

Our goal is to give EVERY JHS senior financial assistance as they continue their education beyond high school. We raise money in the community through personal and business donations, and at several events held throughout the year. The Dragon Scholarship Fund differs from other scholarships in that we strive to help every graduating senior who completes the six-step application process. We believe everyone deserves a chance to earn a scholarship, regardless of class rank, financial need, gender, race, creed, or ability.

Established in 1987, the organization has provided more than $1 million and over 3,800 scholarships to JHS graduating seniors. Last year, Dragon Scholarship Fund awarded $110,000 in scholarship money to 271 students! This year we have even more applicants! Therefore, the goal of our volunteer board is to raise more money in order to fund the scholarships needed for 2017. We appreciate your contribution in helping us achieve this goal.

The Dragon Scholarship Fund (formerly known as Johnston Dollars for Scholars) is now a division of the Johnston Community School Foundation.

Please Note: Auction attendees MUST pick up purchased items before leaving the event.
Remote Bidders AGREE to pick up online auction purchases within 24 hours of the close of the bid, at the location specified by the Auction Chair.
Items will NOT be shipped or delivered.
Any unclaimed items will become the property of the DSF to redistribute or resell.
